It’s been far too long since we last saw the Doctor. The universe knows this which is why we get a Doctor Who Christmas special. Last year, I wasn’t excited about the Christmas special…. or was it the year before last? I liked Voyage of the Damned. Whatever, that’s not the point. This year’s special, The Next Doctor, made me get misty-eye and clap with a childish glee.
I won’t go any further because I don’t want to spoil those who haven’t seen it. Just a note: This episode is watchable even if you aren’t caught up on Doctor Who.
