There have only been three episodes of the third season of True Blood and the show has made history with one of the most disturbing sex scenes on television. Facebook, blogs and Twitter was littered with WTF after the airing of “It Hurts Me Too”. The real questions is how are they going to top that?
I am super excited and highly engaged with this new season. The death of Eggs last season, left us fan girls with one less shirtless hunk to drool over. So far in season three, not only did we get a few new hunks but a whole other species; the Weres. …and why not have werewolves? Buffy had them and so does Vampire Diaries and Twilight.
It feels like the writers and producers know that we are watching and are aware that we want to be amazed, repulsed, amused and turned on. They are not disappointing me thus far. Aside from the neck-break romp with Bill and Lorena, we had an envious eyes-rolling-in-the-back-of-the-head sex scene with Tara and the new, mysterious vamp in town Franklin. Pam is enjoying a… um… treat on the desk in her office AND giving advice to baby vamp Jessica over the phone. King Russel and his lover (?) Talbot have kidnapped Bill and are serving him vampire delicacies. Apparently the whole affair has annoyed Bill because upon site of Lorena, he set her on fire… and you know the rest.
Our human stories are a little tamer. Arlene is pregnant and she think it’s Rene’s baby. Jason is still guilty over killing Eggs. I’m ready for this story to be over. It’s been going on for too long. Tara’s wrath or not-wrath against Jason will be interesting though. Jason should have really stuck with trying to be a cop. It would have been yummy to see him in uniform and a cowboy hat. Sam found his trashy family. They are already starting to cause problems for him. Sometimes you just need to let stuff go. I’m sure this story won’t turn out well. Lafayette has been gifted a car by the ever so sexy vampire Eric Northman. I have a bad feeling about that. Last but not least, Eric still in a giving mood sent Sookie a sexy werewolf protector named Alcide. I like the guy but I really wish this roll was reserved for Ed Quinn. I REALLY wish they hadn’t killed off vampire Stan. Wahhhh!
I can’t wait to see what they do next on True Blood. They can’t possibly top the latest episode but it will be fun to see them try. I have crow on stand-by for when they give us another wild WTF?!
